$700 CAD incl tax, $4800 HKD
-FHD
-Intel i5-3317U, passmark 31xx
-5 hours battery

Or I shall pay $7200 for Pro 2, just for longer battery life?

It is better in battery life, and with connected standby, but again, too expensive for all other tablets with Haswell CPUs,
I have checked almost all and only to find them starting from almost $1k

PS: Surface Pro 2 is $899 though

For that W700, i almost bought it by $48xx last Aug, but now i would prefer Surface Pro.

因為佢用實體connection 個kb

用bt果d好麻一connect 左你就咁用tab 打網址都唔識彈個kb出來
要disconnect左佢就自動彈

Actually I don't mind to continue to use my wireless keyboard,
it has a usb adapter, and with teh docking it seems there are 3 USB ports I can use.

And I agree Surface Pro is a better option, hardware and software-wise,
but they are selling at $799 now which is actually $300 more expensive, at least.

以一部notebook來講完全唔大，
而且最緊要可以攤平來用，哩點係點解想買surface pro的原因。

You got Surface Pro 2?

And 8GB version is really more future-proof......but another 2k, that sucks.
With the stylus, I really want to fully utilize the tablet with programs like Photoshop or illustrator,
or I may run some 3D model drawing programs from AutoCAD later, thought these are not a must (I can run on workstation).

Just dunno how to choose.

Not absolutely; it just looks better if 8GB is available,
as I expect 4GB to be too little for many programs that can make good use of the pen, and I will be able to use them at some points.

And again considering a notebook+tablet for a long term, it seems reasonable to pay more.

用係真係幾好用,咁細部行win8.1,i5,仲有枝筆用,彷彿世界就在你手
我仲裝左bluestacks,可以睇布卡

可惜既係,佢真係好7重,如果唔係有大量heavy tasks
搵部tab仔會玩開心d

同埋佢定位真係衰左d,當你notebook個keyboard又唔好打,只做tab又太重..

I know it's heavy, but I simply would use it when I can put it down, so it's not an issue.
And for the size, one point is I can always get a monitor and turn it to a desktop in office.

For keyboard, I planned to use Apple's BT keyboard;
MS Cover's are ridiculously over-priced...

Just wanted to avoid this, but ur right,
when its battery can't be changed, it's somehow not wise to invest that much on it.

Main reason:
-SP1 too cheap at this price ($4800), delivering almost the same hardware
-SP2 just 2 more hours on battery (and 6 hours with SP2 isn't really impressive)........but at least $2k more
-Battery not replaceable (even iFixIt rated it "1"), expect SP2's battery won't last long
