標題: [軟件] 2 Vista questions [打印本頁]

Just reinstall my office PC, changing from XP to Vista SP2 32bits, 2 questions i wanna ask:
1) my PC physical memory always "eat" by memory cache, i guess it's because of Superfetch. Is it necessary to turn off this function?
2) do I need to do something to enable CPU L2 and L3 cache inside Vista registry in order to use those cache?

Spec:
CPU: Phemon II X4
RAM: 4GB

P.S.: don't ask me to check to Win 7, i don't have genuine Win 7 in office, only XP or Vista.

佢夠膽 cache 曬 3G 幾,
我一開機就停定

i'd remain the superfetch there for a while, to see it's ok or not. thx all buddies! 4GB is not enough

, but 32 bits....

No!. Because you are using 32 bits Vista. 32 bits Vista can only address 4GB memory maximun.

Q1 要熄咗佢因為佢個DESIGN 仲差過WIN 7
真係會裝一次SOFTWARE 係cache 哂 software

64bit 配上8gb 有特啦
64bit vista 基本上一開機大約3gb 左右 (用4g 行64bit)
會有1gb 比你用 + superfetch
4gb 已經夠用但係本身software 係有render or photo editing software
你要更多ram 去superfetch
其實你要裝software list 去判斷行superfetch

it's using in working environment. 32 bits is a MUST.

MUST 話 32BIT 就3G OR 4G
因為係用唔哂4G 得3.25G
用3G 會比較符合結果(除非你有2條2G 就另計)

如果想埋剩番個半G 你要搵SOFTWARE 當果1G 做 TEMP
SOFTWARE NAME 我唔記得啦我要問人

u mean memdisk, right? i've 2x2g, no need to use memdisk.
