It is understandable for 6790 not being a gaming card,
while the question now is 6790 being killed by 4890 in many games.

you gained dx11 and eyefinity

hd6790 is a seriously cut-down version while hd4890 is a overclocked flagship version

p.s. a small fact is that shader performance is lower in dx11 generation for both AMD / NVIDIA.
