How big is AMD’s Bullodzer/Orochi core? That one is easy, 315mm^2 according to AMD’s slide deck that fell in to SemiAccurate’s hands last week. Enjoy.S|A

Simply speaking,
Sandy Bridge quad core is 216 mm^2, so you know how much bigger it is.

to be a little bit fair, SB has no QPI and is restricted to be 1 socket config

BD is configured to be 1-8 hop (1-4 sockets)

Yes, it maybe too early to claim before we can see how much performance BD can really deliver finally.
