questions...
I am planning on upgrading my PC (last time I upgraded was 2007)...
Trying to build a new PC...but not sure if I should be running OS on SSD...
as it will increase my whole upgrade cost by almost 1/4...

And does it really make a huge difference?

Sorry for using English as I am a bit retard in typing Chinese.

I don't have full spec yet...still researching..
but the basic will be:
i7 (waiting for the IVB) + MB that support Z-75
16GB RAM
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTS450 1GB, just got it last year, and hopefully I don't have to buy a new one
the rest are pretty much the standard stuff.
Also I already have 3x 1TB SATA HDD.

If you need more info, let me know

6Gbps interface SSD maybe both compatible with 6Gbps and 3Gbps ?

yes, but with difference performance, especially with some controllers
e.g. SF-22x0

q6600 upgrade 做 i7 2600k 先la 最少...
q66 我牙妹先用緊... i3 5x0 都做低佢la..

Yes, CPU upgrade is part of my plan...I am processing quite a bit of RAW photos also running quite a bit of stuff for work. so I need to upgrade my CPU for sure!
