sorry, i know it's old news, but i just see today...
HK officially sell Apple TV.
only can play mov video?

may be you can install some kind of linux

yet , windows 7 being a media player is super-7

using i-Device feel great , as I said before,
if you don't mind to pay for content and if you once study in state and still love the live.
then you are more than welcom being a iSlave (I think I invented the term ; at least here)

if you hate SJ, hate any kind of iDevice then

if i have video in mov format which stored in my Windows computer, can i play in Apple TV?

air play can play through wifi from iphone iPad to Apple TV for
movie or photo

being iSlave, mean you need to use full suit (probably ; I only see iPhone and iPad using Apple TV)
(don't know MBA or MBP can airplay or not)
very nice and easy to use (target for old people young kid and your mother)

I don't know windows computer can send the file or not (kindly google it)
but the concept is to make the device send the data file to apple TV
also the concept is to buy the most update content (may be NBA games or NFL to see just like you live in the state)
no more waiting to see on Pearl / or ATV world

then the simple way is to store in your iPhone / iPad
using airplay to have appleTV to play the movie

AppleTV need to have a iTunes a/c
don't use a new a/c
as new a/c have a page Term&Condition need to confirm

AppleTV cannot show that web page
you need to register a new iTunes (if don't have one)
using notebook (win or Apple) to activate the itune a/c
thne input the itunes a/c into AppleTV
