It seems GT3 with eDRAM cache is limited to only 4C dies then.
Btw, Intel introduces their own DX extension of zero-copy memory and also new rendering algorithm. Seemingly they are trying to improve their EPG performance and paves the way of future EPGs. You may refer to Anandtech for the extensions.

Eventually both will have similar performance due to the common bandwidth wall. More execution units may help running complex shaders faster though.
Now Intel the wolf comes to AMD the little red hat with large eDRam. So it is hardly not defeating the elder Trinity with effectively 40x4 shaders @ say 1.2 Ghz with secret sauce, though I'm not sure if that piece of memory is exclusive to GPU or use as a general cache. If it is the former, think the APU of Xbox 720.
