Is 780G ok to decode HK HDTV on-air video? if not (due to driver or hardware problem), which discrete VGA card can recommend? Nvidia is better than ATI? Thx.

I am not sure about Nv,
but at least ATi 4650 or above is suggested for HDTV as the deinterlacing will require some extra processing power.

so HK digital TV channel doesn't need "de-interlace" function, right?

u mean i can choose de-interlace function in TV tuner program? if i need this function in hardware decode, i need ATI 4650 or above? or i only can do by full software decode (use CPU power)?

if so, on-board solution is bad, coz only can output 15fps

as a former 4550 user, I can tell you that 4550 is NOT enough for HQ deinterlace of TV signal.
If you are looking for  some quality in HDTV playback, don't hesitate to buy AMD x650 or above.
