not recently.
last time i used firefox was 4.x version. At that time, Chrome was faster.

Yes Chrome is still faster now for some applications especially Java,
but start-up time with some important extensions like ad-block+ScriptNo will slow Chrome down to a level that Firefox(With the same amount or even more apss) is more appealing.
