用緊Asus N16
係好耐之前一直用緊BB100, 某日呀媽又貪平簽多條3和記返黎
所以一直用緊tomato dual wan

最近不定時候會上唔到網, 連login 192.168.1.1都唔得, wifi都斷埋, 成隻router hang左咁
試過刷DDWRT都係同樣情況
試過加散熱都係咁, CPU降埋頻480MHz->300MHz都係咁
保養又過左

想買過隻
budget有少少彈性, 一千附近都得

要求:
Dual wan(原生或者刷ROM都冇問題)
802.11AC(Optional反正未用得著)
Gigabit lan(屋企3部腦有時會互抄file)
VPN(随左自己用, 亦會開俾朋友返大陸用)
其他(其實我對router認識唔深, 咩2.4GHz同5GHz都係知有呢樣野但唔知咩黎)


題外話, 其實如果要砌部ITX router要咩budget?

ITX router 最平最慳電既PC, 但你要有3個 lan port  2 Wan + 1 Lan , 仲要加隻 Switch, 但你仲未解決到 wifi 問題

Dual WAN is a strength of pfsense, so it would really be the best if you don't mind the troubles.
The budget can be as low as ~$1500, depending on what you want to have,
very often an entry grade Celeron with Sandy Bridge or better micro-architecture for 1Gbps WAN, or D2500/D2700/AMD E-450 for 500Mbps or below, 4GB or more RAM,
a 4GB USB Flash drive, an lan card with Intel NIC (82574L/579V are fine)(e.g. Intel EXPI9301CT), a gigabit switch
finally a motherboard with Intel NIC (intel boards), and case+PSU. You don't need a harddisk unless you are hosting server.
You can surely use other NICs, but be aware of the compatibility with the OS, depending if you are using ClearOS/pfsense/others.
The sum shouldn't exceed $2000, and the best if you can make use of old parts. In HK the problem is only getting the suitable lan card with a reasonable price......

Dual WAN, VPN are fine for both OS.
Copying files should be very fast as long as you get a Gigabit switch.
Not sure with ClearOS, but pfsense has no support on even 802.11n owing to FreeBSD doesn't support it. But you can just add a wireless access point to get the WiFi online.

Dual WAN要有giga throughput加平一定係x86 router

n16可以試下換cap, consumer router有問題大多與供電有關

FreeBSD 8.1 support intel 4965/5000series wireless

The OS supports the hardware, but may not support 802.11n(pfsense does have 802.11g support...) afaik.
At least pfsense hasn't followed up till now(2.0.3), not sure about 2.1

update:
It seems FreeBSD is ok now, let's see pfsense's support then (hopefully in not too distant future)

Dualwan 再加千兆，仲要ac

市場上真係無呢隻野

就算雙wan加千兆
好多都未必食得晒幾百mbit
有的話都可能講緊三千蚊以上。。。

我都成日想搵呢類。。。但係真係無。。。一係就好貴。。。
你唔好睇vigor個的好似有。。
我用緊隻2920n
係有千兆，係有dualwan
但係開dualwan得20mb。。。。
我有pccw 同hkbn100m。。。
咁不如唔好用。。。單行仲快。。

所以要用盡真係得pc router
