EETimes: AMD's Jaguar packs four cores in one for mobile

Highlights:
1. Jaguar packs four (or two) x86 cores into one unit with a large shared L2 cache               1-2 MB L2 Cache
2. more than 10 percent higher frequencies than Bobcat (based on simulations)                     >1.8 Ghz
3. more than 15 percent more instructions per clock than Bobcat (based on simulations)
4. The chip sports a re-designed load/store unit and an expanded 128-bit floating point unit.

We need to know the power characteristics before any prediction.

I would expect similar power consumption with dual-core Bobcat.
You will need single-core / dual-core for sub-5W applications.

Honestly Bobcat did help AMD earn quite a bit OEM order ( Even HK have few AMD powered notebook, but E-350/E-450/E2-1XXX series  do appear in almost every retail chain )

It sounds like a nice upgrade
