cloud is never a replacement for local storage.
Unless we have TRUE unlimited data plan.
Cannot disagree more. User data volume stored in NAS and cloud are every growing. Most users are no longer storing their *entire* data set at their local desktop or laptop.
Even a simple portable 2.5" HD can be as big as 1Tb, 1.5Tb, or even 2Tb. Data stored with the local PC and laptop are now considered as the least secured form of storage. Informed customers even opt for SSD laptops or desktops over gigantic 1-2 TB conventional hard-drives when they purchasing their new machines.
NAS, cloud, homeservers, portable media ...etc are all taking over the ever-growing storage needs. Its not replacing local storage needs. They are the chosen medium.
