I seriously doubt their intelligence in deciding to make x3 chips, this will impact both their x2 and x4 lines. Given Intel\'s pricing is already seamless between dual and quad cores, there\'s no price gap for x3 to exploit.
That left x3 only possible to compete against the upper segment of Intel C2D which will be economically unwise or (consider these are marked down quad cores) difficult in pricing and marketing.
And perhaps regarding AMD\'s lousy marketing strategy (with
respect for their past), one could only say..."Against stupidity the gods themselves struggle in vain."
