Not at all,
Typical file transfer via 11n is around 3~5MB/s ~= 24-40Mb/s,
Unless you are sharing BD ISO, otherwise those rips downloaded from the web will not be an issue.

Check in Windows Wireless connection status to see if it can reach 300Mbps,
or try to download in HKIX2 to see if you can reach ~5MB/s.

Fluctuation is ok, just want to see if it is possible to reach 300Mbps.
If Maximum is stuck at 150Mbps, there may be something wrong with the setting in wireless card or router.

And a better test is real performance test by HKIX2.

For the NAS, you can just check by wired connection to see if lag persists; if not, it is not a NAS's limitation.

In fact, I would rather suspect it is the Notebook itself the playback performance bottleneck.
