真系最多得兩個咁準?
Not confirmed but there maybe issue,
the computer must to turned on before turning on the switch;
if the computer is turned on after turning on the switch,
it may not be able to get the IP.

Thank you, I did search something in No.1 but I may have missed this post.

And more, probably, I will now consider having G440+H61 as the solution...........
Old Atom boards suck, and new Atom is never gonna appear.
E-350 is good, but expensive and I don't feel like paying more on the graphical power that I never touch.
Rather than that, it looks better for me to pay on the processing power.

If I am to get a CPU on M.ITX board with PCI-E slot in HK for ~700, there aren't many options.
And probably I will fall back to M-ATX if possible and get a J&W D525, any idea for this brand?

Something else?

Looks even a better choice for router

Updated:
但很可惜,它并不针对零售市场,只会预装在OEM小型服务器里,自然也就没有公开报价。

Sadly

no way a SB-based CPU can beat Bonnell / Bobcat in power consumption alone
Sure, but there is no need to be a winner, just make sure if the power consumption of the system is within a tolerable range;
doesn't stand a great difference from Bobcat and Atom.

As seen in the G440, E-350 and Atom comparison, the consumption of G440 doesn't set it too ugly as a router processor, and it was a 35W TDP unit.
Now this 15W TDP CPU does look very promising in number, though nothing can be told before a test have been carried out.

Thanks lc for switch suggestion,
I have just bought PCi FXG-08EP for $330, 900Mbits NAT,
and the Buffalo Router can get the IP.
Now:
Modem --> Cat6 --> Switch --> Server
                                        --> Router --> Other computers
                                                        --> My notebook
The above solution is very acceptable as a secondary option before there is suitable hardware for the X86 router.

Also thanks all other who have shared their valuable ideas and experience.

你試左未?
I don't have any atom hardware,
and there aren't any suitable board within budget.

deliberately crippled
Otherwise with its built in 8574L and passive cooling + Mini PCI-E, this will be a perfect board for my router.......

Not restricted to Atom.....

try ClearOS VM version....
It will be fine, but what I want to confirm is the capability of the proposed hardware.
Building the VM on server should be able to get it work, but hard to compare and estimate the real requirement on hardware.

the VM version can estimate
I see, maybe I can check it out later, thanks for the suggestion.
