AMD may use the technology from ATi and redevelop a brand new core of processor, not the x86 arcuitechture anymore. Some elements of a GPU will be added onto a CPU. Crazy thought but I think it will work. X86 is not most efficent artuitechture of any processing units and a completely new, revolutionised artuitechture is needed. Within maybe another ten, twenty years time, the processing demand on a common computer will increase so much that the current X86 system may not be capiable of meeting the demand. This is the time when a new core will be needed.
