getting a macbook pro retina...
其實我淨係想買 HKU offer $14690 果部
因為 2.3GHz 同 2.6GHz 相差不大

但有人叫我買貴 d 果部 512GB SSD, 都係 8GB...$19090 相差 $4400...
話因為 SSD 有壽命, 大 d 會襟用 d...

但呢 d offer 冇得揀升 16GB, retina 又冇得自己換...
其實我有 NAS 又有個 500GB 2.5" External 我覺得 SSD 容量都唔係 big concern
我都對住個 74GB raptor 生存左好耐...
阿媽部 MBP 開始爆係因為 d video save 曬入去...
otherwise 我覺得 128GB 其實都夠用, 何況 256GB...

8GB 我 2-3 年後唔夠用 ge 話, 俾阿爸都夠用有突

我唔想曬左 d 錢

我覺得 SSD 唔夠用可以有 external 硬碟
RAM 唔夠用唯有換過部,
既然兩部都係 8GB,
不如慳返四千幾蚊第時買過部成部升級好過 @_@

我揀 retina 係因為 2kg 重量搵唔倒部咁勁 spec 同咁靚 mon ge 15"

My brother studies architecture as well,
he said he is fine with his Nehalem-based Quad Core MBP with 4GB RAM. He bought it like last year.
He will eventually upgrade to 8GB or 16GB but 4GB is fine now.

In fact my uncle suddenly says he wants to pay for my laptop and told me to buy the top model -.-
but I think getting the top model is unnecessary. --

$4400 means one-third of a MBP retina, just for 300MHz and 256GB more storage? --
It will be hard to say if the additional $4400 comes with 16GB RAM. (although 8GB RAM is ~$300 only I know)
Two to three years later we'll surely get a 16GB RAM, 512GB or even 1TB SSD as standard configuration, with a much faster CPU and GPU at the same price, isn't it?

Anyway I think the cheaper model will be good enough...
I am just looking at it at a economical way...

does the $4400 buy another one to two years of life? --
