but i don't hv very fast sd card to test, so... not sure it can reach very fast speed (i.e. over usb 2.0 general speed)

Yes they are
I bought one from transcend pro shop directly
$15X ? (Discount for promotion)

I bought it last dec, and file transfer speed is faster than my Transcend USB 2.0 Card reader

They have a mini U3 SD card reader sell 8x only but always out of stock
I dunno why ppl still taobao when you can get quality taiwan brand w/warranty for similar price

but wtf is the usb 3.0 A to microB cable is just less than 20CM
