Why do you think hover is not useful?
It is important for some websites that make use of hover to select/display, for example see who "like" a post in facebook, and there is also potential for more gestures.

I just want to say the functions brought by Hover Control can be meaningful,
such as Displaying the "Like"-ed  people on Facebook, or displaying other information like you put your mouse icon on something as you do on a PC.
