no tower-heatsink on stability-oriented system...
How about AXP140

How about AXP140
Just searched a bit for this, it looks it could block the ram slots......
Using this MB(ASUS P8B WS):

At the moment I am only planning for the CPU, I am not using a discrete display.

I am not sure, please let me know if those ram and voltage regulator(isn't it already having some heat sink?) needs also cooling system.

the heatsink are not very good and you need fan if you need absolute stability

Not really such a serious matter, I don't have plans for modification on the mainboard yet, at least not now.
I may replace those heatsinks when I find them an issue.

if you use tower hs, then the cpu fan cannot cool it
if you use normal one, the cpu fan can cool the pwm

I see, thank you for telling, I am now considering non-tower cooler.

simple talk
heatsink is useless when nothing diffusing the heat

Thanks for the idea,
I will probably make a decision based on the situation of the mainboard later.
Can't even figure out would the heatsinks and cooling fans fit without the mainboard at hand.

how about this?

Actually water cooling is ok,(if the installation and maintenance is that easy)
but I will need to think of mosfet and chipset cooling later.
Probably will install these:
Mosfet: http://www.pcbulb.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_217
Ram: http://www.pcbulb.com/index.php? ... mp;products_id=1766
C206: http://www.pcbulb.com/index.php? ... mp;products_id=1745

But all depends on budget and compatibility(I will need to check exactly the room )

Damn, Wai Fong is no longer selling mosfet and ram heatsink........
Do you know where I can find them in HK?

Btw, I will probably use this:
Scythe Zipang 2 SCZP-2000
So that the small heat sink of mosfet can be looked after.

The Chipset heatsink is still available.

Just spot this

But too heavy and probably will bend the mb......

Passive cooler
Thermalright HR-05 IFX

vs
Active cooler
Thermaltake Spirit A100 Northbirdge Chipset Cooler CLC0051
http://www.crazypc.com/products/CLC0051.html

Which one would be better?

And also the same question on ram and other components.
