Why not suitable ?
I played Empire Earth / EE2 types of game and I think it\'s cool too
But rarely see HK people playing Empire Earth / EE2

BTW I bought TA from a "clearance sales" during my stay in US
but not knowing it\'s a cool game

C&C 3 is kinda bored for now
I want some new RTSs before World in Conflict comes out

I\'m playing it on my laptop:

Intel Core Duo T2500
2GB DDR2-667
Geforce Go 7900 GS
Windows Vista Business

with this setting:
1440*900, NoAA, 16xAF
Fidelity: Low
Level of Detail: Low
Texture detail: High

can play quite smoothly, but still lags a bit with more than 400 units on screen.

You know,
Hong Kong people are quite "unique" in their gaming taste. Most HK people I know won\'t play games which require brain/thinking. Or maybe it\'s my socializing circle\'s problem?

But as far as I can tell, Supreme commander won\'t be popular in Asian region as the same was Total Annihilation.

Similar case with "UT2004" , it\'s beautiful  & fast-paced FPS
but rarely see HK ppl played it

FYI : Just dig around my game collection and I found Total Annihilation , too bad it seems doesn\'t work with Windows XP

I just bought the game but seems like I bought the "expansion" version
Is Forged Alliance is "aftermath" of the Original Supreme Commander
I bought the game and got it installed tonight (automatic update? too)

Damn it\'s fun , since 12AM (HK Time) I started playing it until now
There goes the memories with good old RTS days ,
I learn my stupid lesson
1. NOT TO PUT THE COMMANDER at frontline
Being stupid and OWNED by enemy "experimental unit" with few hits
OUCH

2. REMEMBER bring up Anti-Air first , damn aliens got the best air raiding force which is very annoying.

3. Navy is cool but takes forever to build one good cruiser / destroyer

4. Remember to SAVE XD

5. I guess I need a quad core processor for this game .....A64x2 5000+ @ 3.0GHz isn\'t enough when 400+ unit at screen, but HEY it\'s FUN !

Forged alliance is the expansion pack of SupCom.

I played it, but not that interesting. The original SupCom is fun but FA feels not right.

My sharing to your lessons

1. This depends on the game mode. "Assassination" means the game ends when your commander blows up. I hate this game mode the most since you don\'t really need to do anything, just build whatever it takes to destroy enemy commander. That\'s it.

2. Of course. You must be new to RTS And remember build AAs in groups scattered around your base, not just one direction

3. get some engineers assist the shipyard.

4. duh......

5. quad core doesn\'t help Proved in official forums




P.S. There\'s a dirty trick when not in assassination mode: called "combomb" I guess you know how to do it

I wasn\'t new to RTS , just haven\'t play RTS for a long time and I underestimate the alien air force

I restart the mission and massed tons of AA Flak (Lv2) , nothing pass my air field

sneak in some team of Lv3 units behind their Air defends by air
and killed the AI commander behind the line   

Hehe I think I will get the original Supreme Commader now

Quad Core doesn&#92;&#39;t help ?! OUCH , it&#92;&#39;s so hard to commander with < 10 fps

uninstalled immediately.......such a good story, such a lame ending...

It seems SupCom "original" runs much smoother than SupCom:FA on my computer
