well....
firstly, for Venice(Rev. E) core, if vdimm and vcore difference is too big, then the IMC will be destroyed. Older cores don\'t have this problem.

And then for same setup, same timing and same RAM, Rev. E cores show slower performance. This is been tested many times and proved true.
