even another old laptop CD-ROM still can use (Toshiba, age 12 yrs)

I use a HP i5 notebook to replace my home pc.
so far, it is hot and sometime will hang
also, it have survived more than 1 year
and my brother-in-law also have a refribushed NB use more than 3 year.
