xbox 帶 on-chip memory (裸機圖 & vgleaks 表示係 integrated into soc)，而且得 12 CU (768 op/clk).

等於 GDDR5 + 250 mm^2 chip 同 DDR3 + 450 mm^2 chip 既價差掛。

如果真係為左減R&D cost, 我諗Sony同Microsoft都可能同意咁做

EDIT: 不過確定左2粒APU係唔同die, 1個3.xB transistor, 1個5B transistor
28nm即係大約130mm^2同170mm^2 (最小)

I think M$ is betting on squeeze xbox as a living room entertainment device.

But in that department there are already too many more well-known brand names, i.e. Apple.

Well, for backward compatibility, M$ will just sell the old xbox / 360 game again on their xbox market place again, they probaby just need a VM that run old game
