Sigh, unless it can beat SBE, or AMD will have no game in high-end market.
While for SBE........I would rather wait for Ivy, then I can cancel the plan for a new computer in this year.

Bulldozer will not beat SB-E
Because they are aimed at different market...

It is such a hard time for a new computer,
not knowing the release date of Bulldozer, its performance, how long it can survive as a main stream product, upgrade path of AM3+, and release largely deferred, I don't think it can retain much competitiveness.......
while I don't want to spend on 2600k which is a product released near half of a year without any drop in price........and the problem is Z68 won't fully fit Ivy.

For SB-E, yet it should be providing appreciable performance, X79's compatibility with Ivy is an unknown, upgrade path again unclear, when 6/8 core of Ivy becomes a main stream, the life of SB-E can be as short as half a year.....

4c sb-e is not much better than 4c sb

Even 8-core is of low freq.

8C IB-E may be not of low freq.
someone posted SB-E Xeon (2CPU) running 3GHz and did some CPU intensive benchmarks, and surpassed the performance of X5590 x2 quite a portion.

Wait to see.
