Shit, my Hitachi died all of a sudden.
Bought a few years ago, as data storage and seldom use.
I was still using it a few weeks before, being kept in a dry and seldom moved shelf......no idea why it died without any warning......
Motor still running and SMART showed no error, trying to recover..........

It looks the harddisk is still fine,
I can recover the file using R-studio,
it could be the damage of MBR or file system making it unusable, is there any tools repairing this?

Thank you for your information, I will try it depending on if I really need the harddisk to be kept in its current status as a storage; I may just format it after recovering the necessary data.
