[硬件] Harddisk suggestion

Harddisk suggestion

1. When do I need an enterprise Harddisk?
Going to run one as ftp storage and http server 24/7, but the data inside won't be critical(will be backed up quite often)
Should I buy an enterprise or a normal one?
Any difference except claimed reliability?
Or 2x cheap cheap 1TB running RAID 1 is a better solution?

2. Is Seagate ok now?
Have been using WDs and Hitachi, they works just well.
Seagate sucks a few years ago, how is the quality of Seagate at the moment?
Heard some failure reports for Hitachi, so may want to buy WD and Seagate.

3. 7200K rpm, 1TB, 24/7, FTP+HTTP, no Zoo will be built on, any good suggestion?

Thank you.

除左 WD
WD is bad?
Actually have been using a WD 320 to BT for 4 years without any plain.......and is quite preferred comparing to the others two brands.
Everyone has their experience, good or bad, with certain brands....
It looks all depends on luck of getting a good disk or not.

the blue one...
I see, I may now wait until the new Hitachi 1TB/platter stuff available and read some reviews first.
It was claimed to be very fast 227MB/s

use what raid controller?
Intel Onboard may be.....
In fact I did not investigate if the board allows so, SSD alone and two harddisk in RAID 1.

Shit, H61 has no support on this.....maybe I do need a RAID controller.
Or maybe a software one.
