Surface Pro 2 tablet falls to $799

The same discount also applies to the 128GB version of the Surface Pro 2, which is down to $999. The 256GB and 512GB models are subject to a steeper $200 discount, which takes them down to $1,099 and $1,599, respectively. Those last two versions also ship with 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB.
The Surface Pro 2 has a smaller display and a lower screen resolution than the new Surface Pro 3. It's also about a millimeter thicker and a quarter pound heavier, and its kickstand has a more limited range of motion, which doesn't allow it to lay quite as flat. Both devices are based on Intel's Haswell processors, though, and they both run Windows 8.1.
Of course, since the Surface Pro 3 already starts at $799 without any special discounts, it's probably the better deal of the two. You'll just have to wait until at least June 20 for it to become available.
