For your reference,
I use my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH with an external harddisk on stock firmware,
the DL/UL speed from other location via BB100 will have a stable speed of ~10MB/s.
So if you are using BB100, I think you don't need to worry the performance, unless you do mind the lan transfer rate.
10MB/s will be more than enough for many purpose, even streaming BD ISO.
