[電子電玩] Bioshock

Bioshock

Just BTed and played a little.

Image is surprisingly good with DX9 only !
And it run pretty smooth, around 1xFPS with my Go 7900GS (oc 450/720) with ALL HIGH detail @ 1920*1200

So I guess anyone with lower resolution/lower detail/faster card will run better than mine.

I am able to get constant >20FPS with 1280*800. Or I can try 1440*900.

Interestingly, D3D10 isn\'t put much good use in this game. Just for "Surface effects". There\'s an option to turn on this D3D10 effect.

I\'ll try to get some screenshots with Vista.

the game requires 2GB RAM if u have 2 choose medium or high quality......
I\'ve tried 2 tune @ high/medium settings wif 1GB RAM, but it would crash.

From Bioshock we can see these few trends in PC gaming industry:

1. More and more games are just ported from Xbox360/PS3..etc...
2. GPUs nowadays has STRONG processing capabilities but LACKS in texturing/fillrate department. (EXCELLENT pixel effects and LOW-RES texture in Bioshock can prove this)
3. More and more games has fewer graphical options. Low detail and high detail settings aren\'t differ that much, even in performance. This further proved that more and more games are just ported from console, which is a blend of bad and good.
